Job description:
Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Bloomberg is seeking an energetic,
highly motivated and experienced individual to join the global
Market Structure Strategy team.
Market Structure Strategy focuses on the role of the constantly
changing regulatory and political environment in shaping the
re-development of the global financial market ecosystem. The
team is responsible for assessing the impact of these changes
on the needs of Bloomberg’s clients and forging relationships
and partnerships with prominent market players crucial to
market structure – namely exchanges, clearing houses and
regulators – with the goal of positioning Bloomberg and its
clients for future growth.
The key aspects of this industry-facing position are an
in-depth understanding of customer workflow, Bloomberg’s suite
of products, and a vision to unlock new areas of business.
Through collaboration with internal stakeholders and
businesses, you will ensure Bloomberg is optimally placed to
leverage opportunities with all key players in the Latin
American market. Additional responsibilities include, but are
not limited to the following:
– Conduct market research, due diligence, and trend
analysis.
– Develop client relationships and partner at all levels of the
organization.
– Evaluate new business opportunities and promote existing
products or the development of new offerings.
– Estimate potential upside of opportunities (e.g., market
assessment, NPV analysis, etc.).
– Assess the range of competitive responses and impact on
opportunity.
– Develop perspective and present the case for
investment.
– Create metrics to evaluate performance.
– Outline initiative performance versus objectives.
– Support the execution of priority initiatives with
cross-business teams.
Qualifications
– 10 or more years of experience in the Financial Services
industry, including knowledge across multiple asset
classes.
– Proven ability to work effectively with others at all levels
across an organization, including the C-suite.
– Solid leadership, decision-making, communication
experience.
– Strong sales and relationship management skills.
– In-depth understanding of market structure and the Latin
American financial regulatory market.
– Previous exposure to working with exchanges and/or clearing
houses.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the
ability to multitask.
– Strategic thinker with demonstration of product/idea
generation.
– Bachelor’s level degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent
work experience.
– Familiarity with the Bloomberg Professional Service or other
ancillary products.
– Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish is required.
