WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Plant Payroll Clerk at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:
Processing payroll records on a weekly basis ensuring deliverables are met timely and accurately
Adhering to payroll policies and procedures, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary data, and providing support/back-up to other team members
Processing off-line manual payroll checks and supporting all benefits programs
Working on additional payroll activities including: – Exception maintenance processing, payroll weekly journal entries and various general ledger account reconciliations
Ensuring a strong internal control environment
Investigating and resolving payroll issues
Documenting procedures relating to job responsibilities
Managing payments and accruals for contingent labor
Managing and/or completing miscellaneous projects as assigned, such as daily production execution
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Finance, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Required:
Associate’s degree in accounting or other business-related discipline
Consistently demonstrated related work experience
Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and time management skills to handle the multiple requests and deadlines effectively
Advanced analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage conflicting/changing priorities with tight deadlines
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree and demonstrated related work experience
Experience using Ceridian HPL web-based payroll product
Knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems, preferably SAP
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
This role reports to the Plant Controller
Occasional, infrequent business travel may be required
Working extended shifts, including some weekends and holidays is required
The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
