Role Summary/Purpose:


Essential Responsibilities:

T

Market/Commercial Leadership

* Drives account growth in assigned geography to deliver

orders, margin and segment participation commitments.

* Develops customer strategies, account management

initiatives and campaign plans, and leads plan

execution

* Monitors market and competitor information and proposes

winning solutions

* territory and with assigned customers at all levels

* Cultivates customer trust and develops influential

relationships within the assigned territory and assigned

customers at all levels.

* Determines customer needs and develops strategies to win

profitable business

* Leads early positioning of GE products and solutions

partnered with Field Application Engineering, Economic

Value Managers and Services Organization.

* Enables customer business success through planning and

executing consultative solution selling

* Develops negotiation strategy: anticipating and resolving

obstacles to closure

* Understands GE T&Cs and the rationale behind them

* Applies pricing knowledge and tools

* Leads contract negotiations to closure

* Responsible for customer satisfaction evaluation, plans,

and follow through (i.e. net promoter score)

* Represents the Voice of the Customer and promotes a

customer centric mindset

Qualifications/Requirements:

· * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or

college, preferably in a Business or Engineering

discipline

* At least 10 years of sales/commercial experience,

preferably in the Power Gen Industry

* Strong communication skills at all business levels

including senior leadership

* Extremely strong written and verbal communication

skills

* Strong financial management skills

* Ability to travel regularly – estimated at 50-70%

time

* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:


Desired Characteristics:

* Experience in the electrical power generation industry *

Master Degree from an accredited university * Ability to

develop influential customer relationships, plans, sales

strategies, presentations, and proposals * Strong customer

mindset * Understanding of GE’s and customer financial

drivers / needs * Ability to effectively lead a

multi-functional team and operate in a matrix organization

* Knowledge of market economics, competitive issues,

technology and projects
