Process Engineer - Plastic /Molding/Manufacturing

Process Engineer with a background in plastic injection molding is being sought after by an established tier 1 automotive supplier. This company is doing a tremendous amount of growing and is very financially stable. This a newly created, direct hire position due to the increased growth of the company. This person will utilize their experience to provide engineering support to the plastic molding processes, which includes material processing and analysis, equipment, design guidelines, material selection, material performance in current and future developments.

Responsibilities for the Process Engineer

• Provide day-to-day technical support for the plastic injection molding processes in the plant


• Coordinate the design and purchase of new equipment, and manage installation and start-up


• Lead and/or support continuous improvement activities to reduce scrap and machine downtime; including analysis of data, tracking, and preparation of reports to document activities


• Address internal and external customer complaints, conduct investigations, develop root cause analysis, determine countermeasures

Requirements for the Process Engineer

• BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline


• Be able to communicate with engineers and managers on all levels of authority.


• Experience with plastic injection molding.
