Gift Shop Manager - Terre Haute Regional Hospital - Terre Haute, IN

Position responsibilities:
Prepares SPR’s and check requests for gift shop merchandise for approval by the Chief Operating Officer

Promotes customer service satisfaction, expands patronage and increases revenue.


Has oversight of paid and unpaid support staff.


Manages all aspects of purchasing, inventory control, merchandising, vendor relations and cash management.


Manages all retail practices sufficiently to ensure the gift shop is well stocked and organized, items are well displayed


Ensures pricing strategies are appropriate


Maintains store room so items are up to date


Meets and negotiates with wholesale vendors


Trains paid and unpaid support staff as needed


Maintains gift shop inventory on timetable established by Accounting


Qualifications


Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:
High School graduate


Above average communication skills in all forms


Minimum of two years retail and one year management experience


Valued but not required educational/licensure, skills and experience:


Associates degree
