CODA is currently accepting applications for the night shift manager on weekends, in Terre Haute. The shift is from 7pm-7am on Saturday and Sunday nights, equaling 24 hours a week, with opportunity for some additional hours throughout the week. The pay starts at $8.50/hour, with opportunity for an increase after 90 days.
The shelter manager will be trained to answer the emergency crisis hotline and also supervise the shelter residents at the emergency facility, located in a confidential location. Other responsibilities may include checking the shelter for safety and security, cleaning, computer data entry, filing, organizing, etc.

    In the Education Department at a federal correctional facility, incumbent provides integrated programs in educational training to inmates, and will be primarily required to teach Literacy, General Educational Development (GED), and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL). Incumbent plans and conducts an individualized instructional program based on assessment data, knowledge of teaching strategies, learning styles, and availability of resources. Selects appropriate individualized teaching techniques, and select, order and use a wide diversity of instructional materials based on student needs and abilities. Designs, develops and implements curricula to meet the diverse learning needs of inmates.
    Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.     Basic Requirements:
    A.     B.     • Carry out various grounds/maintenance assignments as needed, either as repair or original work. Advise Facilities Manager of maintenance needs that exceed own skill level.

    • Assure Center’s grounds/maintenance work is in compliance with various standards and regulations, e.g., CARF, DMH, DOL, OSHA local building codes and regulations etc.

    • Meet regularly with Facilities Manager for supervision purposes.

    • Assure ongoing availability or necessary tools, equipment, and materials for grounds/ maintenance work.

    • Assist with all aspects of grounds keeping at all Hamilton Center locations (e.g., snow removal, picking up debris, landscaping, planting flowers).

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications/Requirements


    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment and other safe operations and repair.

    • Basic appliance repair, basic arithmetic, Basic English usage, and communication (oral and written) skills.

    • Interpersonal skills.

    • Willingness to travel in work capacity.

    • Valid driver’s license in accordance with HCI motor vehicle policy.
