RESPONSIBILITIES

Move materials using lift trucks, hoists and overhead cranes.

Use lift truck to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.

Place and remove loads from the floor, parts train, and rack locations. Adjust loads by hand as required for safe handling.

Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks.

Properly load/unload parts on conveyor line per work instructions, prints, D-sheet, and/or production order specifications.

Use paint shields, cap plugs, masking tape, and craft paper to prepare parts and lift trucks per work instructions, prints, D-sheet, and/or production order specifications.

Repair/rework parts to meet quality specifications using bondo, rubbing compound, and polishes per work instructions, prints, D-sheets, and/or production order specifications.

Comply with safety regulations.

Notify Supervisor or Group Leader of any safety, quality, or production issues that may occur.

Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Per 8 hr. shift (stand 8 hours) frequently (balance, bend, kneel, squat). Occasionally (reach above shoulder level). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently 0 to 40 lbs.). Frequently climbing to step into lift truck. Must be able to hear, see, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, distinguish color, use feet to operate foot pedals, and work at heights up to 30 ft. Must be able to work in an environment that moderately noisy, that includes dust, solvents, exposure to vibration, weld flash, battery acid, grease, oil, and paints. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
