Data Analysis for Director and Staff of Case Management. Performs data collection, secretarial/clerical duties

Position responsibilities:
- Types correspondence, memos, reports, meeting minutes, etc. for Case Management Director, Case Managers, Discharge planners, and others as directed.
- Prepares agenda, schedules room, dietary requests, prepares packets, type’s correspondence, maintains binder of PI projects, Avoidable days, UR data entry, Case Management updates/meetings
- Serves as a receptionist, answers telephone and takes messages, photocopying, routes mail and all other correspondence
- Maintains binder of all department archived policies
- Responsible for maintaining, restocking and requisitioning department supplies and equipment. Be proficient on E-Way by Corporate Express
- Collects unit specific PI data quarterly
- Maintains refrigerator temperature log
- Performs data collection, aggregation data, trending to report to Medical Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees
- Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)
- Does the employee demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct?
- Does the employee’s conduct reflect the Company’s values and a commitment to the Code of Conduct?
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department
- Maintains a current file of department policies, procedures, and organizational plans. Updates department policies as directed
- Assists Case Managers, Discharge Planners in pulling daily/weekly reports for patient reviews and assists in verification of benefits for discharge planning purposes
- Attend Code of Conduct training course annually
- Demonstrate an understanding of and adherence to HCA’s Code of Conduct
- Demonstrates conduct that is reflective of THRH’s commitment to HCA’s Code of Conduct
- Understands and satisfies the needs of the patient population appropriate to the age of the patient served (adults, geriatric, adolescent, pediatric, and parents of neonates)
- Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy
Qualifications
Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience:
- High school graduate with computer skills.
- Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prior experience in hospital utilization and insurance review required.
- Current BLS certification maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital
Valued but not required educational/licensure, skills and experience:
- Previous experience in Medical Records or graduate of an approved accredited Medical Records Technician program preferred.
- Dependable and good attendance.
- Ability to work and communicate with all employees.
