Facilities Engineer - Engineer/Facility Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer
Facilities Engineer sought after by an established tier 1 automotive supplier in Western Indiana/Eastern Illinois. This company is experiencing unparalleled growth right now and the position was created due to the growth of this facility. This person will provide engineering support with regard to the company’s facilities projects, including the preparation, maintenance, and updating of all data pertaining to facilities management.
Responsibilities for the Facilities Engineer
- Assist the department manager with document preparation, product research, plant and contractor interaction, calculations, and inspection of relevant projects
- Prepares and maintains documentation and data regarding facilities engineering projects
- Writes specifications for bid packages regarding facilities improvements for management approval
- Reviews and reports on facilities engineering project work plans prepared by outside consultants for compliance with company standards and specifications
- Recommends facilities maintenance standards, policies, and procedures
Requirements for the Facilities Engineer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Architecture, or engineering-related discipline
- 2 to 4 years of experience with facilities CAD, planning, and layout development
