Correctional Officer Trainee job - Putnamville Correctional Facility - Greencastle, IN

Incumbent works in an adult male correctional facility for offenders. She/He is responsible for following post orders, maintaining order, supervising and controlling offenders and their activities. Incumbent works on an assigned shift in a specific unit or post, under the general supervision of a Correctional Sergeant. Incumbent maintains the security of the unit, as well as the safety of staff and offenders, while ensuring daily activities and programs proceed on schedule. Work schedule allows you to have 7 days off during a 14-day pay period. Starting hourly wage $12.09, increases to $14.16 after completion 6-month training period.
