Production Chemist Job Responsibilities:
Supports plant operations by performing quality control testing; provides customer support assistance at the laboratory level; maintains clear and precise records of all projects.

Job Duties:
• Perform laboratory tests to produce chemicals according to established standards and guidelines.
• Ensure final product meets quality and customer specifications.
• Suggest improvements for test procedures to achieve project objectives.
• Maintains clean and organized facilities and laboratory notebook.
• Maintain sufficient stock of chemicals and supplies to perform lab experiments.
• Ensure that materials are labeled properly and used in right quantities.
• Coordinate, prioritize and plan lab tasks to meet deadlines.
• Keeps equipment operating by following standard operating procedures.
• Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
• Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps.

Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma required. Ability to learn advanced computer programs to analyze data. Basic understanding of chemical reactions including acid/base titrations a plus. Familiarity with common laboratory practices and analytical techniques a plus. Familiarity with basic quality control procedures a plus.
