Operations Manager Job in Hillsdale 47854, Indiana US

Gypsum Express Ltd., a growing, nationally ranked, premier flatbed carrier with 13 locations east of the Mississippi, is looking for a Operations Manager in our new terminal located in Hillsdale, IN. Individual must be highly motivated, technology oriented and have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

As a Driver Manager, you will direct workflow and develop relationships with your team in order to increase overall driver satisfaction and improve driver retention. You will act as a liaison for your team with people inside & outside of our company. In this role you will advocate for your fleet of drivers assuring them prompt, friendly service and support to meet their expectations.

Responsibilities include:

·         Daily dispatch operations, coaching and management support of drivers.

·         Coordinates load assignments and logistics with planners and customer service team.

·         Primary contact & advocate for fleet drivers, attentive to their special needs.

·         Authorizes each drivers weekly payroll.

·         Coaches drivers for compliance with DOT, safety, fleet maintenance and fuel routing.

·         Resolves urgent matters in a prompt and a professional manner.

Qualifications:

·         Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills required

·         Possess strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

·         Positive “can-do, will-do” attitude a must
