Maintenance Service PS157 job - American Water - Terre Haute, IN

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Valve turning for emergency main breaks
  


• Hydrant flushing and inspection
  


• Repair of services and setters
  


• Perform maintenance at the water treatment plant, distribution booster stations and any other company owned facility within Wabash Valley as required.
  


• Responsible for stocking van/truck with required materials for the day’s work
  


• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment along with having the right tools to do the job
  


• GIS of all distribution assets
  


• Computer Work
  


• AMR Program and LOS
  

Secondary Job Responsibilities

• Collection of bacteriological samples.
  


• Change chlorine cylinders.
  


• Monitor all chemical levels and dosages.
  


• Oversee the unloading of chemical trucks as needed.
  


• Responsible for cleaning lab, control room, break area and plant.
  


• Collect and Analyze samples
  


• Monitor SCADA and recognize what it is telling you
  


• Respond to Alarms
  


• Responsible for stocking van/truck with required materials for the day’s work
  


• Maintain reliable accurate data
  


• Responsible for Meter Reading, Meter Installations, and Meter Changeouts
  


• Responsible for investigating meter reading inaccuracies, customer complaints, and checking for leaks.
  


• Responsible for shutting customers off for nonpay and reconnecting when paid
