Job Purpose:
Apprentice to Specialist
Main Accountabilities:
Perform gas utility construction work activities according to classification. Satisfactorily complete all training and Operator Qualifications requirements of the classification. Will be required to operate equipment used to perform main installs, service installs, leak investigations, and leak surveys.

Education and Experience Required
Candidates must possess a High school diploma or equivalent. Computer skills a plus.
Applicant must be capable of physically and mentally working in/on gas facilities. Must be able to learn safety rules associated with job duties and follow same.
Candidate must demonstrate that he/she is self-motivated and works well with others. He/she must possess a valid driver’s license and a CDL or be willing to obtain one within 60 days of hire and must have prior HVAC experience. The successful candidate should possess good mechanical aptitude; ability to bend, climb, crawl, stoop, lift and maintain body balance; ability to endure exposure to outside elements in all seasons; ability to work outside of the regular schedule; and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and employees. Job responsibilities include serving on a 24-hour emergency watch periodically
and must be located within 25 driving miles of the Operating Center
.
Required to be available to work overtime.
