An industry leading automotive supplier is currenlty searching for a Senior Engineering Manager with a background in plastic injection molding and production equipment. This person will plan, direct, and manage the tooling, and production engineering function on a company wide level for a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
- Develop and manages corporate standards for tooling, equipment, and methods of launch across all manufacturing facilities to ensure the continuous production of products consistent with customer requirements
- Evaluate departmental training needs on a continuous basis, and works with Corporate Training to create and implement individual and group development plans
- Assist in developing annual department goals in support of company stated corporate goals, reviews and follows-up on the status
- Ensures on-time delivery of all tooling and equipment necessary to support new product launches
- Provides technical support to other engineering disciplines, manufacturing, and staff functions
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- At least 12 years in manufacturing and 8 years working with plastic injection molding tooling.
- Experience in the automotive industry preferred but not required.
