Process Automation Controls Engineer sought after by an established tier 1 automotive supplier Western Indiana. This comapany is experiencing unparalleled growth right now and the position was created due to the growth of this facility. This person will experience and talents to design, develop and set-up the equipment required to support production as well as provide technical support to engineering and manufacturing to establish and maintain production processes.
Responsibilities for the Controls Engineer
- Perform product design feasibility studies and provides feedback to project core team members
- Develops specifications for new product equipment
- Establishes detailed timing to design, build, run-off and deliver new equipment
- Determines initial equipment capability through trials and evaluations at the vendor prior to delivery
Requirements for the Controls Engineer
- BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline
- 2 + years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with PLC, HMI, or other robotics is preferred.
- Competent in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
