                           Tooling Engineer

Our client is a Japanese tier-1 automotive supplier in the Terre Haute Indiana area.  Due to growth, they are expanding operations.  Our assignment, recruit a Tooling Engineer.  This leader will design and develop production tooling.  Work with engineering and tooling vendors to ensure the production of quality injection molds.  Review product designs for tool construction.  Review mold specification sheets with tooling managers and tool vendors. Travel to tooling vendors for on site follow up and tool tryouts.  Oversee pre-production engineering changes and assign mold number for all tools.  Responsible for mold prints, 3-D mold designs, CMM and maintain department directory.

Requirements: BS in Engineering or Technology, four+ year automotive manufacturing experience.

Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Technology, four+ year automotive manufacturing experience.

Journeyman Tool/Die Maker, four+ year automotive manufacturing experience.
