Retail Merchandiser Job in Terre Haute 47802, Indiana US

Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  • In the Hallmark Card Department, you will replenish, straighten, and track inventory of the every-day and seasonal greeting cards and specialty items which includes gift wrap, party supplies and other stationery items.

  • This position will require you to lift boxes up to 50lbs as well as stoop, squat, walk and stand for long periods of time. 

  • If you store is being revised, reset or remodeled you are expected to be present and participate in the activity. 

  • You will use technology (internet and/or a handheld wireless device) for various job activities, reporting time and viewing policies and information. 


Job Specifics



  • In this position you will be providing support to Hallmark merchandisers as an alternate to help cover vacations, sick leave, and offer additional support when necessary.

  • You will be providing merchandising and installation support to various retail stores within 30 miles of the Terre Haute area.

  • Your primary role will be assisting with installation activities but you will be asked to assist with regular merchandising activities when there are no installations scheduled.

  • When merchandising in the store, you must start your work day between 8am and 11am and be able to work into the afternoon hours if necessary.

  • When working on installations, you must be flexible to work a full day and start between 7-8 am.

  • When assisting with installations you will be responsible for working with an installation team on store fixture installation of new stores, store remodels, store relocations, and product revisions.

  • The days that you work could vary from week to week, so you must have the flexibility to work any day of the week as needed, including some weekends.

  • Although hours are not guaranteed, you will typically work 16-20 hours each week.

  • You must be available to work the day before and up to an 8-hour shift the day after any major card holiday.

  • You will be reimbursed for any mileage incurred over 30 miles round-trip and are paid your hourly wage for any travel time incurred over 40 minutes round-trip.
