Production Engineer Job in Terre Haute 47811, Indiana US
An industry leading manufacturing supplier is seeking to add a Production Engineer with a background in plastic injection molding or coatings. This person will provide engineering support in the area of moldings processes/coatings for new product launches and development projects as well as provide technical support to the process. This facility has doubled in growth over the last 3 years and shows no signs of slowing down in the future. This position has been coined as a “critical fill” by their Engineering Manager—their staff is ready to move on qualified candidates.
Responsibilities for the Production Engineer
- Provide day-to-day technical support for the molding or coatings processes in the plant
- Address internal and external customer complaints, conduct investigations, develop root cause analysis, determine countermeasures
- Support mold trials prior to molds arriving at the compnay including interface with Tool Engineering and outside tool shops, including domestic and international travel to outside tool shops
- Conduct initial mold trials to verify internal process and mold capabilities
Requirements for the Production Engineer
- BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline
- Be able to communicate with engineers and managers on all levels of authority.
- Experience with plastic injection molding or coatings
