An established automotive supplier is seeking an Operations Manager to add to their staff. This company is one of the fastest growing automotive suppliers in North America and shows no signs of slowing down. This person will oversee all plant and production activities and manage all lean manufacturing, safety, quality, and communication.
Responsibilities for the Operations Manager
- Directs and manages all production processes for the manufacturing facility through Production Managers and Supervisors.
- Provides direction to Production Managers and Plant Superintendents in order to achieve maximum efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Works closely with the Plant Manager on goals and strategy of the plant’s operation.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and training to engineers, and managers within the department and the plant.
Requirements for the Operations Manager
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 12-15 years of manufacturing experience including experience with plastic injection molding.
- Strong knowledge of JIT, TQM, and TPS
