Supply Chain Process Manager - Taghleef Industries Inc. - Rosedale, IN

For more than 10 years, Taghleef Industries, Inc. has built a reputation as one of the world’s largest and most recognized industry leaders in specialty BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) films.

The Supply Chain Process Manager is responsible for 1) conducting analysis with the goal of improving the organization’s supply chain operation and 2) overseeing supply chain operational processes. The analysis includes gathering data and identifying underperforming areas in the supply chain and suggesting improvements or resolutions to problems. This includes making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.

The supply chain operational processes include intercompany global sourcing, inventory management, business level Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and systems tool development. This is a professional Supply Chain position for candidates who have proven Supply Chain experience.


Responsibilities:
Drives the pace, initiatives, innovations and outcomes in Supply Chain analysis and operational activities in accordance with company values and policies and with a high degree of personal accountability and passion. Has a strong desire to know and implement high performance systems, organizations and processes. Is not satisfied with incremental gains. Must always be looking for breakthroughs.


The supply chain analysis includes:
Gathering data and identifying underperforming areas in the supply chain to drive improvements or resolutions to problems.

Using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, forecast and recommend improvements to supply chain processes. Maintaining databases, prepare reports, track product flow, and develop solutions to supply chain problems and inefficiencies.

Analyzing product supply and demand; transportation methods and costs; parts and materials procurement; supplier reliability and strategic distribution.

Using models to develop cost efficiencies and improve the flow of goods from raw materials through production and delivery.

Making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations contributing to customer service and profitability.

Collaborating/partnering/networking with other business functions (Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, R&D) to develop optimum business improvement solutions.

Utilizing industry recognized supply chain tools and processes/approaches.

Maintaining APICS Basics of Supply Chain Management and other certifications as needed.

Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Knows and drives the implementation of the high performance technologies in Supply Chain. Ensures high standards and the integration of Supply Chain resources into the process of customer service and operational efficiency.

Drives toward continually improving and innovative directions consistent with the site strategies and vision. Effectively utilizes IT tools (SAP, OptiVision and industry Supply Chain tools like Adexa) to improve performance.

The expectation is that after demonstrating success in this position, the candidate will be ready for more responsible Supply Chain rolls, possibly including relocation.

Possesses high personal standards and character.

Resists status quo.

Must be strong advocate for Supply Chain resources.

Must have willingness to receive mentorship help.

Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, along with being flexible with own business agenda.


Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) with a focus on Supply Chain or related business disciplines is required.

Must have 5+ years of comprehensive supply chain business experience.

Manufacturing experience is highly desired.

Prior Supply Chain leadership/managerial experience are essential.
