SOF Field Service Specialist (1980-317)

Positions are contingent upon contract award.

Provide field service support for the inspection of various types of equipment. Shall provide corrective maintenance of equipment based on the applicable technical manual.

Corrective maintenance includes repair by replacement of broken parts. Provide basic on the job training (OJT) such as how to install or operate said equipment for one or more of the following:

Required Skills:

1. 
   

   30mm Gun Weapon Systems – Provide field service technician support for 30mm Gun Weapon Systems at Military Bases located in CONUS and CONUS locations include all military bases in the US including Alaska and Hawaii. OCONUS locations are currently in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and possible other locations. Current systems include the GAU23 installed on MC 130 AC, MK46 Gun weapons installed on U.S. Navy Ships and the MSI 30mm Gun Weapons System.

   
   


2. 
   

   Small Arms/Visual Augmentation Systems (SA/VAS) – Provide field service technician support for SA/VAS at Military Bases located in CONUS and CONUS locations include all military bases in the US including Alaska and Hawaii. OCONUS locations are currently in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and possible other locations. Systems currently supported are SA/VAS equipment outlined in 3.0 of this SOW.

   Ground Based Operational Surveillance Systems (GBOSS) – The Contractor shall provide field service technician support for entire GBOSS system at Military Bases located in CONUS and Possible CONUS locations include all military bases in the US including Alaska and Hawaii. OCONUS locations include Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait and other locations.

   
   

Required Experience:

1. Formal small arms maintenance training


2. 5+ yr maintenance experience


3. 10+ yr performing weapons maintenance and repair or 5+ years performing 30MM weapons maintenance and repair experience 0r 5+ years performing GBOSS systems maintenance and repair.
