ThyssenKrupp Presta USA is a global leader in automotive components technology and the leading steering systems supplier for the automotive industry. Job Description


The primary responsibility of this position is to properly plan the supply chain processes in order to support both external and internal customers. The production planner will be responsible for the internal supply chain starting with the planning of the assembly lines and ending with shipping of finished product to the customer. Additional special supply chain projects may be assigned according to workload.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the day to day communication to the logistics contacts at the customer.

  • Responsible to meet customer delivery rating target by adhering to customer specific requirements.

  • Responsible to review and monitor customer releases on a daily basis to ensure that data (EDI) was transferred and received.

  • Based off the customer releases, plan the assigned assembly line production schedule.

  • Review raw material supply chain with material planning group to ensure production plan can be met prior to the start of the scheduled production builds.

  • Plan truck schedules and execute outbound delivery processes in coordination with the shipping team.

  • Responsible for cycle counting material and adjusting the (SAP) system to reflect actual status.

  • Responsible for ramp up and ramp down process for semi-finished and finished material .

  • Attend and participate in assigned SQDC team and SQDC activities.

  • Support in other logistics areas as assigned by Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years job experience or 5 years job experience in supply chain management preferred. Excellent communication skills and computer competency. Repetitive manufacturing background within an automated environment is a plus .


Supply Chain experience (including): expediting material, coordinating supplier capacities, monitoring supply base action/recovery plans, ability to work with international suppliers, cycle count and Automotive experience preferred.


Computer and Technology Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be experienced with MRP systems (SAP preferred); use of Microsoft Office products and internet usage is required.
