Configuration Management Administrator

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATOR (CRANEIT-297252-Z):

Bowhead is hiring a Configuration Management (CM) Administrator to perform configuration management and oversight of the IT infrastructure through the utilization of System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) software for asset identification; documentation and creating; and maintaining a configuration baseline for IT systems. The CM Administrator will also perform basic CM support to the following tasks: track and control changes to information systems and subsystems; establish and maintain CM records; perform audits and analyze audit results; perform life cycle support; and create and maintain documentation of CM processes and work instruction.


The CM Administrator will respond to data calls requiring CM information; coordinate CM efforts with Configuration Control Boards (CCB); and technical personnel to plan installations; transitions; and testing of hardware; software; utilities; and capabilities. Additionally the CM Administrator will verify and record system configurations; perform change control and risk analysis and monitor software requests against valid license numbers.


— Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education; experience and certifications.


— Experience performing Configuration Management (CM) Experience with System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) software Experience developing and maintaining a configuration baseline for IT systems Experience monitoring IT system and application licenses.
Desired Skills: Prior experience supporting the Information Technology Services Division (Code 104) at NSWC Crane


SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance and maintain access to government/military installations. US Citizenship is a requirement for access to this military installation

Office Environment: The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Dual monitors are utilized when projects specify their necessity. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations. All employees interact with co-workers on a regular basis. Additional external environmental hazards are identified below.
