Position Overview Our client is seeking to fill 20 Eligibility Specialist Positions for their Service Center located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are full-time, contract positions working Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. You must be able to work overtime. These position will start training Monday, November 16, 2015 at their Service Center located in Terre Hautee, Indiana . You will go through 22 weeks of training (classroom time and on the floor production time) before you are actually put on the floor on your own and you will be paid for the training sessions. Interviews will take place ASAP. If you are chosen for the position, you must pass a drug test and criminal background check before you start the position. The positions will all start Monday, November 16, 2015 so we need to get people ready to interview so interviews will take place pretty quickly!!!

Job Description of Eligibility Specialist Includes:


  • Gathering detailed personal and income based information related to applications for public assistance programs under the Family and Social Services Administrations (FSSA).

  • Providing accurate and complete information to state eligibility consultant who will make the eligibility decision for various public assistance programs.

  • Reviewing applications submitted, identifying missing required client data and verifications that must be collected in support of the eligibility determination.

  • Initiating calls to and responding to calls from clients in the data collection process.

  • Reviewing case information and preparing it for case disposition by the state eligibility consultant.

  • Explaining forms and program guidelines and answering questions regarding programs to clients.

  • Entering data into a navigating through multiple database applications.

  • Accurately and efficiently completing tasks with high quality and timeliness.

  • Working independently of immediate and continuous supervision.

  • Performing related duties as assigned.

Ability to learn and follow detailed and complex policies and processes. 8. Ability to be flexible with changing work requirements and expectations. 9. Strong organizational skills to keep pace with workload and determine priorities in order to meet timeliness and quality standards. 2. Education/Experience Requirements: 1. Three (3) years full-time experience performing administrative support or program support in counseling, education, health care, public administration, social services, vocational rehabilitation, or related experience. 2. Bachelor of Science degree preferred; substitution includes accredited college training in any of the following areas may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis: Business Administration, Child Development, Counseling, Education, Health Care, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology, or a related area. 3. Preference given to those applicants who have functional and operational knowledge of the State of Indiana’s ICES system (Indiana Client Eligibility System). 3. Must have intermediate level computer skills.
