Team Lead - ThyssenKrupp North America, Inc. - Greencastle, IN
We are currently seeking a Quality Team Lead to be based out of the Greencastle, IN area. This person would Coordinate and monitor the activities of a work group or cell within a warehouse facility. Provide on-the-job training as needed. Ensure completion of work and customer requirements while complying with all company quality and safety processes. May provide input to Supervisor or Operations Manager regarding performance.
The key responsibilities of the Quality Team Lead include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the inspection process, responsible for the laborers and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables or areas within ThyssenKrupp or client facilities
- Quickly respond to customer’s request to begin new quality inspection jobs
- Travel regionally to various customer sites when needed
- Perform audits to ensure job is being performed in adherence to ThyssenKrupp’s processes
- Write step by step work instructions (training manual) for new jobs or updates to existing jobs and ensure all employees are trained properly
- Must lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping skills in all areas of the facility
- Ensure all employees work safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies and procedures
- Report any accidents or incidents that occur within the facility immediately
- Responsible for the coordination of shift start activities prior to start time (table requirements, paperwork, etc.)
- Ensure appropriate tools and materials are available for completion of jobs
- Provide on the job training for any new work instructions when applicable
- Must be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs
- Provide input to Supervisor or Manager regarding performance
- Report any policy or procedure violations to Supervisor or Manager
- Participate, support and comply with all health and safety initiatives and requirements
Requirements
- minimum of 1-3 years experience in Automotive Quality or Third Party Inspection/Containment preferred
- to work either a first or second shift with possible weekends or overtime
- Reliable transportation and willing to drive regionally (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to manage a team of people (5-15 per shift)
- Minimum of 1 year experience managing others in a manufacturing environment, warehouse or within a quality department
- Experience in automotive setting is an asset
- Read, write, speak English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to follow instructions and follow through with assigned tasks
- Ability to communicate procedures and instruct others in a clear and precise manner
