Process Engineer - Electronics / Assembly / Engineer Job in Terre Haute 47801, Indiana US
Process Engineer with a background in electronics being sought after by an established tier 1 automotive supplier. This company is doing a tremendous amount of growing and is very financially stable. This a newly created, direct hire position due to the increased growth of the company. This person will utilize their experience to provide engineering support in the area of electronics components and processes for new automotive product launches and development projects.
Responsibilities for the Process Engineer
- Track and identify electronics component, process, and equipment performance for feedback into design through evaluation of productivity, downtime, scrap, etc.
- Serve as the technical liaison for customer and national/international electronics component specifications
- Advise and educate product launch teams on electronics component and process capability for product designs
- Communicate electronics component and process characteristics to Manufacturing and Equipment Engineering for implementation on new products
Requirements for the Process Engineer
- BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology or a related discipline
- Be able to communicate with engineers and managers on all levels of authority.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a process related position, to include 2 to 4 years of experience with electronic components
