Project Engineer – Capital Projects

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for leading projects with an emphasis on capital improvement projects. 

Responsibilities:

Ø  Initiate, evaluate, develop and execute a broad spectrum of projects

Ø  Prepare the annual capital budget and prioritize projects

Ø  Identify methods to continuously improve process and efficiency rates

Ø  Work closely with key plant personnel (operations, quality assurance, environmental health and safety) to develop projects to increase plant efficiencies and cost savings

Ø  Evaluate new and existing equipment with regards to machine guarding, LOTO, operating and maintenance procedures and other safety related concerns

Ø  Project timeline and budget management

Requirements:

Ø  BS in an Engineering discipline is required

Ø  Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.  Experience with one to the following is a plus:  plastic processing, polymers, injection molding, extrusion, compounding, or similar 

Ø  Proficiency with AutoCAD

Ø  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Ø  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Must have the ability to gain consensus.

Ø  Strong computer skills are required.  MS Office, Excel, Project, and MRP/ERP systems
