We currently have a client who is seeking a Cost Estimator. Our client is an extremely prominent Aerospace manufacturing company. This position is an excellent opportunity for a Cost Estimator to advance in their career! Ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years experience in Aerospace and/or Industrial Gas Turbine Manufacturing and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
As an Estimator you will be responsible for Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs. You will be responsible for providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. In addition estimator will be responsible for analyzing actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Estimator should also have experience providing improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.Candidate must have experience in the Industrial Gas Turbine Industry.

Responsibilities for the Estimator
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
- Analyzes data obtained and records results
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is being utilized.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
- Apply 6S principles to all areas of the plant.
Requirements for the Estimator
- 5-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidate must have experience in the Aerospace and/or Industrial Gas Turbine Industry
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Experience preparing cost factors and preparing estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work
