Job Description
Position is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil
Amazon’s Transportation Operations team is seeking a
highly skilled and motivated Transportation Operations
Analyst to assist in the management of daily freight
movements flowing into and out of our Brazilian
fulfillment network. This is an exciting opportunity to
join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon. Brazil
TOC (Transportation Operation Center) is the main control
center for transportation execution. TOC plays a critical
role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon’s
Brazilian transportation network and thereby has direct
impact on Amazon’s ability to serve customers on time.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation,
engineering, or logistics and excellent communication
skills. He/she has the ability to pull and analyze data
with ease, drive process improvements, and eliminate
the root cause of defects within the current systems.
This job will require exceptional communication skills
while having the ability to work independently in a
high pressure environment. S/he also maintains and
reports up to date and accurate statistics, management
reports and analysis. S/he also facilitates the flow of
information between different stakeholders
(Transportation Carriers/Hubs/Customer Service) and
resolves any potential issues that impact customer
experience and business continuity. The candidate
should have the basic understanding of Logistics and
should be able to communicate clearly in the written
and oral form.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
- Continual, tactical communication with external
customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal
customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support,
Fulfillment Centers)
- Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using
Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management
systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis
as needed
- Develop performance metrics to assist with driving
business results.
- Must be able to systematically escalate problems or
variance in the information and data to the relevant
owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions
to ensure they are delivered.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written as
you will be required to create a narrative outlining
your weekly findings and the variances to goals, and
present these finding in a review forum.
Basic Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s Degree (completed) with excellent
academic record in Logistics/Supply
Chain/Mathematics/Science/Engineering subjects
- MS Office experience required, with advanced level
in Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, macros, etc)
- Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets
of data
- Fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese
