Environmental Aide Job in Saint Mary-Of-The-Woods 47876, Indiana US

Description:  The Environmental Aide will perform routine housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas throughout facility.  (Full-time)

Job duties include but are not limited to:

1. Perform routine and periodic cleaning such as dust mop, wet mop, clean restrooms, collect/empty trash receptacles, vacuum


2. Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold resident laundry and/or linens.


3. Scrub, wax, and buff floors adhering to specific cleaning schedules.


4. Maintain good personal hygiene; use, store, and/or dispose of cleaning supplies properly; use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required; properly maintain cleaning cart to ensure that it is ready for each shift;


5. Communicate with supervision and maintain confidentiality;


6. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Successful applicants will be qualified as follows:

1. Must have good verbal and written communication skills


2. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.


3. Must have basic knowledge of general housekeeping practices, experience preferred but willing to train.


4. Must be flexible to work in all housekeeping areas as assigned.


5. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted and/or up to 50 lbs. with human assistance or mechanical device.
