Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician

   

Boardwalk Pipeline Partners is looking for an Associate Field Technician/Field Technician/Sr. Field Technician for the Shelburn, IN office. Level determined commensurate with experience.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:


In this role, you will be responsible for pipeline, field, and compressor station operations and will be required to operate the station – ex) reciprocating engines, aux equipment and dehy plant for the Wilfred district. You will also learn all station functions proficiently and operate the storage field assets and pipeline facilities and may be required to take the lead on jobs and direct the actions of others. You will be expected to participate in the on-call duties of the area and respond to call-outs as well as demonstrate an ongoing proficiency in leadership and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities also include compliance documentation for assigned area and the successful completion of all the Operator Qualification tasks assigned specifically for this role.


This position will be located at our Wilfred, IN Storage Field and will operate in a scheduled rotation.


Normal work hours for this role are 7a-3:30p weekdays; however, this position is subject to occasional call-out and schedule adjustments as necessary.


This position’s primary area of responsibility will be at our Wilfred Compressor Station and the successful candidate will be required to reside within 30 miles of this facility.


REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


*Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel as well as strong critical thinking and problem solving skills *Strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects *Experience with Microsoft programs and the ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufactures guidelines *High school diploma or equivalent *Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment, the ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and the ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments *Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle *Strong commitment to personal and team safety


PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:


*Associate’s degree *Gas pipeline experience
