We are a globally recognized resource in the Hardwood industry, seeking an accomplished Operations professional to lead a Sawmill operation.
This candidate must have Mill/Hardwood Manufacturing experience with the ability to manage and identify key factors which impact revenue, quality people and cost. Unique ability to meet and exceed aggressive goals and challenges during projects and has the knowledge to analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes in processes, operations, policies and information systems in a leadership and team based environment. This will be a key position at this facility and bears the responsibility of new growth and operation maximization efforts. Knowledge of the latest in optimization and Lean manufacturing is a must.

Job Summary:
• Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated company projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
• Controls and is responsible for the daily Operation, Production, Customer Service, and Human Resources through the organization’s supervisors & managers.
• Directly involved in the logistics and account management of all accounts.
• Controls and aligns inventory to meet production and company’s financial requirements.


Job Duties:


  •  Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.

  •  Develop and implement project proposals or plans; determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of any and all projects related to the sawmill operation.

  •  Consult with Company Executives to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.

  •  Reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions.

  •  This position will require a very strong mechanical aptitude and proven ability to be hands on with all the equipment at this facility when needed.

Job Qualifications:


  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related management field preferred.

  •  Ten or more years of management experience in Hardwood or similar manufacturing field.

  •  Proven ability to be hands on and complete understanding with all equipment in a saw/ veneer mill –
