Role: Technical Account Manager / Presales - Vodacom Account: OSS / BSS / VAS
Package: GBP£60-70K + bonus and bens
Location: Johannesburg

- At least 5 years Technical Account Management / Sales Engineering / Pre-sales experience with major software vendors in the VAS / OSS / BSS space
- Proven track record of sales success in complex technical sales environments
- Proven track record in managing and contributing to enterprise software RFI and RFP responses
- Experience of dealing with Tier 1 operators preferably with close contacts within those operators
- Ability to understand and articulate the "big picture" as well as to understand and be credible at detailed technical levels
- Demonstrable understanding of 3GPP architectures and of the roles of key components in a 3G/3.5G/4G mobile environment across policy control & management, authentication, messaging and gateways
- Experience of UNIX - shell script, other scripts, architectures, installations etc
- A good understanding of IP networking
- A demonstrable appreciation and understanding of the roles of key functions within an enterprise software company - PS, Product Management, Marketing, other support functions - and how they contribute to the sales engagement
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong objection handling skills
- Personable, articulate, likeable, tenacious, pro-active
- Demonstrable project management skills and experience
- Demonstrates a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action. Delivers results by prioritising assignments and maintaining a focus on goals, making commitments - and keeping them
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients and partners to design integrated specifications and to identify, deliver and implement the solutions that the client needs
- Can demonstrate an understanding of ROI concepts and business cases, and can prove an ability to sell in a value and business oriented manner to complement excellent technical skills
- Demonstrates a passion and enthusiasm for what they sell
