ABOUT THE COMPANY

Joink, LLC was founded as an Internet Service Provider, providing dial-up, DSL and fixed wireless broadband Internet services. Today, the company provides connectivity for customers who span the landscape from residential to enterprise using technologies that include leased lines, unlicensed wireless, licensed wireless, and fiber optics. Also, the company provides managed hosting services including virtual machine, web/email, and offsite backup storage. And finally, the Company’s technology services group leverages its enterprise knowledge of networking, software, storage, and telephony technologies to provide design, installation, and continued supported around key technologies from companies such as VMware, Cisco UCS, IBM, Veeam and Microsoft.


ABOUT THE POSITION

This associate will work within the operations and engineering teams to maintain the facilities and equipment that allow our teams to build an infrastructure capable of servicing our customers through fiber optics to the premises.

REPORTS TO

Operations Manager and/or Engineering Manager


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspects facilities for required maintenance

  • Performs maintenance or direct maintenance to be done by internal staff or contractor

  • Inspects fleet of Joink vehicles and equipment for required maintenance

  • Coordinates maintenance with outside contractor and respective operator/supervisors/managers

  • Reviews inspection reports from contractors and internal staff and direct maintenance

  • Works with managers to purchase new vehicles and equipment for Joink

  • Maintains grounds of Joink property and tower sites

  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 100 pounds

KNOWLEDGE, SKILS, AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team members

  • Must remain calm and cool in stressful situations

  • Must be able to evaluate situations and make quick judgements occasionally while quickly adjusting to changing priorities

  • Great communication skills

  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Key qualifications required to fill this position are:

  • Minimum of two years’ work experience in grounds/building maintenance, construction, or other related field

  • Associates degree preferred in business, construction, or technology field

  • Ability to work after hours or on weekends occasionally as required for callouts, emergency utility hits, or emergency repairs

  • Able to work some overtime as needed and/or without advance notice

  • Candidate must be willing to reside in or near Terre Haute, Indiana. Please do not apply if you are unable to relocate at the onset of employment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Monday-Friday, 5-day per week, 8 hour per day schedule

  • Almost majority of time spent in office or warehouse, with some time in the field to inspect grounds/machinery
