Mechanical Engineer - Senior Job in Crane, Indiana US

SENIOR VRLA MECANICAL ENGINEER (CRANE-15-0663-Z)

Bowhead is hiring a Senior VRLA Mechanical Engineer to perform duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Specific application will be for VRLA battery cell shock and vibration test, procedure development, process definition, vendor relations and other mechanical engineering support. Position typically possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 20 years practical experience in power source test and development.


— Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent and a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


— Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane.


— Position typically possesses a minimum of 20 years practical experience in power source test and development


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a clearance at the SECRET level. Active Secret clearance highly desired


Desired Skills: Prior experience supporting the Battery and Interconnect Technologies Division (GXS) at NSWC Crane.
