Network Administrator Job in Crane, Indiana US

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR:


Bowhead is hiring a Network Administrator to analyze and make recommendations for the network requirements for the Unclassified and Classified RDTand;E; Unclassified and Classified B3 COI and TSN networks. The Network Admin will also provide services that are outside the cognizance of the NMCI contract. The Network Admin will maintain the network architecture and infrastructure and configure and optimize network servers; firewalls; hubs; routers and switches. The Network Admin will analyze the network workload; monitor the network capacity and performance; diagnose and resolve network problems and develop network backup and recovery procedures. Additionally; the Network Admin will configure; monitor and maintain Storage Area Network (SAN) hardware. Other responsibilities will include installing; testing; maintaining; and upgrading network operating systems and hardware; and ensure the rigorous application of information security policies; principles; and practices in the delivery of network administration services.


This position requires sitting for long periods of time.


IAT Level II Certification
Knowledge of and experience with servers; switches and security tools


Desired Skills:


Prior experience supporting the Information Technology Services Division (Code 104) at NSWC Crane


SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtaina clearance at the Secretlevel. Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and 2years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education; experience and certifications.
