Mgr-Patient Care Unit / St Vincent Clay Hosp / FT Days - St. Vincent Health - Brazil, IN





The Mgr-Patient Care Unit manages activities, workflow and nursing resources of assigned nursing unit(s).

Responsibilities:


  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.

  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.

  • Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.

Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Minimum Qualification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification obtained within six months of hire date to position.

  • Minimum Qualification: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Indiana obtained by hire date to position.

  • Preferred Qualification: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.

  • Preferred Qualification: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Education:

  • Minimum Qualification: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (RN) by hire date to position

  • Preferred Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (RN) by hire date to position

Work Experience:

  • Minimum Qualification: Three years of experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent.

  • Preferred Qualification: Three years of experience working as a Registered Nurse (RN). One year of experience directly supervising staff.
