Job Title: Retail Sales Associate


Location:  Greencastle, IN


Reports To: Market Manager


Hours:  Monday-Friday, 9-6pm (some Saturday shifts)



Retail Sales Associate – Job Description


This is a retail sales and customer service position. The RA will be responsible for attaining new business through walk-in traffic to the storefront, maintaining and stimulating growth on our current and potential account base and developing quality customer relationships. 


Retail Associate will be:
• Be pro-active in growing primary demand for all products for assigned territory
• Interface with DSRs to ensure that the customers’ needs are addressed while acting in accord with existing company procedures and policies
• Update and maintain the accuracy of computer based information relating to customer details, requirements and profile.
• Highly personable; self-motivated; highly organized
• Thrives in a goal-oriented environment
• Capable of working independently

Primary Responsibilities:
• Secures orders from existing and/or potential customers visiting the retail storefront
• Responsible for customer service inquiries and the proper follow-up for such inquiries
• First level of escalation for customer complaints
• Review the needs and services of customer in order to make recommendations for additional services and products driving additional revenue and retention
• If needed, an ability to identify and document prospect’s needs, expectations and priorities in order to pass lead off to DSRs
• Ability to grasp technology solutions and maintain an understanding of our marketplace including competitors
• Excellent and professional follow up on various leads generated by website, advertising and/or community events
• Submits daily activity and sales reports, weekly reports concerning customer-related actions for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer affairs
• Provides lost business reports on a weekly basis
• Community relations; attends community functions by direction of Retail Store Supervisor or General Manager
• Work with Retail Store Supervisor or General Manager to identify networking and marketing opportunities including local festivals and sporting events
• Assumes other duties as assigned by Retail Store Supervisor and/or General Manager
• Performs assigned duties with minimum personal supervision The associate may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.


Education/Training/Experience:
• High School Diploma with some college preferred
• Experience in computer based order entry systems
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel
• One to five years of experience in sales, customer service and/or retail is desirable
• Telecommunications and/or video experience a plus


Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities:
• Must be able to perform well in fast pace multi-task environment
• Detail oriented and the ability to research and assimilate various forms of information
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• A drive to win as a part of a team

• Must complete and pass all product/sales courses offered by company or pass proficiency tests
