Dental Receptionist
We are seeking a full-time receptionist for our Highland office. This individual will tend to the patients on the phone and in person, as well as coordinate and organize appointments in order to facilitate the efficient running of the dental office. We are a fast-paced, team oriented practice that thrives on providing the highest level of oral health education and the best patient experience possible. The ideal candidate for this position MUST be able to demonstrate a work ethic that encompasses passion, and consistency. This position will directly report to the office manager.
TASKS:
· Greet patients
· Register new patients according to established office protocols
· Verify and update patient information
· Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
· Enter all relevant patient information and medical history into data system
· Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
· Answer and manage incoming calls
· Schedule patient appointments
· Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
· Prepare for next day’s appointments
· Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits information
· Fill in cancellations and no-shows
· Track incoming lab work
· Collect and receive payments from patients at time of treatment
· Arrange payment plan with the patients
· Treatment planning experience a must
· Send e-claims
· Fulfill end of day functions
· Maintain a professional reception area
· Must be friendly and outgoing with patients
Education and experience:
· Minimum of 2 yrs experience in the dental industry required
· Working knowledge of Dentrix
· Working knowledge of dental insurances including Medicaid and HIP
· Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures and diagnosis
· High school diploma
