Administrative Assistant - First Financial Corporation - Terre Haute, IN
Performs a variety of administrative/secretarial functions in support of the department, such as composing and word processing a variety of documents (letters, memos, etc.) and correspondence; relaying and resolving routine telephone calls; serves as loan assistant to the direct and indirect loan department, process loan applications, produce loan documents, handles disbursements; maintain department records; prepare reports.

- High school diploma
- Previous experience in an administrative assistant/secretarial position
- Prior banking experience with a good understanding of bank products and service, loan experience helpful
- Extensive knowledge of PC and various word processing and spreadsheet software programs required; such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Primary Activities

- Supports the office area of the Department Manager.
- Process loan applications.
- Produce loan closing documents.
- Answers telephone and assists customers – both internal and external.
- Administrative/secretarial duties as needed.
- Composes and directs written correspondence to various individuals, both within and outside the bank. Disperses correspondence accordingly.
- Responsible for compiling and distribution of various reports, using both Microsoft Word and Excel. Will need an extensive knowledge of Excel and how to use formulas within.
- Answers inquiries concerning direct and indirect functions; answers, screens and routes telephone calls.
- Serve on Saturday loan processing rotation.
- Performs a range of operational support activities.
- Helps sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates employee vacation and sick day schedule.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
