Engineering Manager - Process/Production/Plastic
An established automotive supplier is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee their plastic injection molding and coatings department. This person will oversee the process engineering function at the plant and will also have responsiblity in regards to new product launches. An ideal candidate will have expereince working in the automotive industry with a background in either plastic injection molding or some type of coatings application including paint, e-coat, spray coat, and metallizing.
Responsibilities for the Engineering Manager
- Plans and directs all production engineering activites and personnel within the manufacturing plant.
- Support new product launches at the plant and oversee manufacturing launch engineers
- Lead and participate in all Continuous Improvment activites within the manufacturing department.
- Train and mentor engineers within department
- Ensure on-time delivery of all equipment necessary to support new product launches.
Requirements for the Engineering Manager
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of process/production engineering experience including plastic injection molding and coating applications (paint, e-coat, metallizing)
- Experience within the automotive industry
