Senior Sales Manager Job

Come see what you can achieve as a leader with GE Transportation!The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the overall marine and stationary business strategy for assigned territory in Africa and attaining all sales / orders objectives. This position will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining all customer relationships. Distributor management will also be a major function of this position. • Sell and promote all GE Transportation Marine and Stationary products in the assigned region
• Interface with distributor & sales representative to extend local market presence
• Interface directly with the customer base in the region (incl. presentations, trades & fairs, conferences)
• Develop, recommend and support go-to-market strategy decisions and growth-ideas
• Develop existing customers and generate new potential (key) customers, utilizing the GE network
• Support identification, coordination and conduction of growth opportunities & activities for the region
• Identify and evaluate customers’ project needs and specifications and provide them with technical and commercial support on Marine and Stationary products
• Review requests for proposals, and coordinate with the commercial product team to ensure all proposal requirements are met
• Lead deal structuring, strategy and all other proposal development activities
• Drive and lead sales initiatives at project/risk reviews providing clear strategy to the business
• Support customers in developing competitive, project analysis and feasibility studies
• Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, and competitor actions
• Demonstrate boundary less teamwork and cross-functional cooperation working closely with GE Marine and Stationary Product Management, Service, and Finance organizations • Bachelors degree in Technical or Commerical Field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial experience in the Marine and Energy markets
• Minimum 5 years experience in selling high tech. products

• Strong customer orientation and external focus
• Excellent oral and written communications & negotiation skills
• Time management skills and ability to work across functions
• High level of Integrity
• Strong business acumen and analytical ability combined with strong technical depth
• Knowledge of the assigned market and cultures
• Six Sigma Certified
• Location is flexible to anywhere in Africa
