The Business Development Executive will drive the Brazil Growth go-to-market plan and work closely with the frontline on pursuing emerging markets-related opportunities in this key financial center .

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities :

He/She will provide specialist expert knowledge on M&A, alliances, restructuring initiatives, divestment, post acquisition and capital structure. Will work with Thomson Reuters Business Divisions to validate/originate transaction pipelines/opportunities and provide input on value and governance issues that may influence decision making. Will validate or develop the investment/divestment thesis, and ensure all acquisitions are aligned with Business Division's strategy.

Scope and Impact:

The Business Development Executive will have the aptitude and experience to consider international governance and multicultural issues when leading Projects or solving problems. He/She will provide advice to Thomson Reuters business divisions, on a broad range of transactions, primarily those which could result in investments, divestments, mergers and acquisitions.

Influence decisions by providing insight and advice to others on the range of transactions or issues under evaluation, and manage key steps in the decision making process.Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies :

Ability to lead large groups of cross-functional teams (internal and external) under tight timeframes to thoroughly analyze the merits of a transaction.

Strong negotiation skills. Understand key drivers of divisional and shareholder value. Nurture a culture which fosters creativity innovation and a self motivated team to drive business forward.

In-depth knowledge of Thomson Reuters strategy, markets and competitive landscape. Broad M&A origination and execution experience, ideally obtained in a professional services firm. Strong analytical and problem solving skills (probability modelling, game theory etc.) Ability to communicate complex concepts to a broad audience, including senior management. Customer relationship management skills and strong focus on delivering results. Strong team player with experience of working with virtual teams from different functions/regions. Strong influencing unbiased skills.

Fluent in English and Portuguese. Spanish is desirable
