Provide support and growth to the Groundwater Modelling Group. Raise the profile of the group. Improve ability to deliver quality, on time and
within budget.

Expertise in Southern African Hydrogeological conditions
Strong Mining Hydrogeology background

Key Performance Areas
Functional Output / Duties
· Provide Direction and Technical support to complex modeling projects
· Summarising large datasets for input into select water Quality Models, reports and other relevant documentation
· Setting up and calibrating select water quality models that may range in complexity from 1-dimentional, steady-state to multi-dimensional,
dynamic simulators
· Manipulation water Quality Models to evaluate the potential environmental effects of proposed changes to ground systems
· Interpretation and conceptualisation of hydrogeological data
· Groundwater numerical modelling; Solute flow and mass transport modelling
· Preparing written and graphical material for inclusion in study report and presentation;
· Report writing and review
· Ongoing business development, networking and building long tern client relations.
· To project opportunities

Technical Expertise
· Continued development of key skills in Groundwater Modelling
· Experience in groundwater modelling for large and medium scale hydrogeological assessment of impacts, dewatering studies, groundwater
resource development studies and contamination studies.

Qualification, Experience / Knowledge

M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or Ph.D.
Minimum 15 years experience in practical groundwater modelling
Expertise in Southern African Hydrogeological conditions
Strong Mining Hydrogeology background
Numerical Groundwater Modelling expertise
Solute flow and mass transport modelling expertise
Proven ability to identify and implement practical solution for complex hydrogeological situations
Excellent practical knowledge of Modflow and Feflow
Conceptualisation expertise

MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
Specialised hydrogeological and modelling software
