Regional Sales Manager - Africa

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa.
Industry: Mining Services company

Responsibilities:
Market and sell a range of mining chemicals, floculents and reagents to the mining industry in Africa.
Identify new business opportunities
Develop business and grow sales footprint in Africa in the mining and related industries
Take responsibility for SHE
Implement and train customers and staff in handling hazardous materials and products
Form part of a dynamic international team who are leaders in the field of mining chemicals and explosives
Establish sound Customer relationships and vendor and distribution channels,
Monitor and upgrade existing distribution contracts and transporter contracts
Manage staff, report generation, pipelines, forecasts, Budgets and expenses.
Achieve sales growth and sales budget for the region.

Applicants must have Degree in chemical engineering, mineral processing or any of the engineering sciences related to the mining or mineral processing industry.
At least 10 yrs sales and marketing experience with at least 7 or more yrs gained in Africa in the mining industry,
Strong commercial ownership and knowledge
An understanding of chemicals and the application in mineral processing.
Product knowledge will be provided for candidates who do not have the specific product knowledge.

Applicants from the petrochemical industry would also be considered as long as they have experience in developing business in Africa in the mining industry.
