Logistician III

LOGISTICIAN (CRANEIT-15-1098-Z):

In support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane (NSWC Crane), Bowhead seeks a LOGISTICIAN.


NSWC Crane develops and supports a variety of operations including; fleet maintenance and modernization, radar, power systems, strategic systems, small arms, surface and airborne electronic warfare, night vision systems, and undersea warfare systems.


Bowhead is looking for a Logistician to serve as a project lead for various systems within the Supply Chain Risk Management Branch. The Logistician may be required to analyze complex contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.


Support will include:
— Receive, track and analyze System Configurations for multiple programs.
— Research COTS and Electronic Components for obsolescence issues utilizing approved predicative tools. Problem identification, alternatives analysis, solution analysis and recommendation.
— Participate in meetings and briefings to support the program(s) assigned.
— Communicate with internal and external customers.
— Submit quarterly Obsolescence Reports for various systems.
— Actively participate in Obsolescence Working Group Meetings to track Case Management.


— Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications.


— Ability to perform detail-oriented work under pressure.


— Previous logistics and/or configuration management experience.


— Expert with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of integrated software applications


DESIRED SKILLS:


— Prior experience supporting the Information Technology Services Division (Code 104) at NSWC Crane


SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a Confidential clearance and maintain access to government/military installations. Active Confidential (or higher) clearance highly desired. US Citizenship is a requirement for access to this military installation.


Physical Demands: Office Environment – – The environmental conditions consist of computer stations and desks with adequate and adjustable lighting. Chairs are designed to fit the various individuals and the tasks being performed. Ergonomic evaluations are completed as needed, to provide up to date modifications to all work stations.

Where driving may be required or where a rental car must be obtained for business travel purposes, applicants must have a valid driver license for this position and will be subject to verification.
