RESPONSIBILITIES
Safe operation of lift trucks to move materials and completed parts to proper locations.
Place and remove loads from the floor, parts train, and rack locations. Adjust loads by hand as required for safe handling.
Conduct daily pre-operational safety checks on lift trucks.
Use various computer programs and perform basic data entry and periodic lookup of information.
Perform item counts as required
Perform cycle counts as required.
Comply with safety regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Per 8 hr. shift (stand 6 hrs. walk 1 hr.,sit 1 hr.), frequently (balance, push/pull, bend, kneel, squat), occasionally (reach above shoulder level). Frequent lifting and carrying (frequently from 0 to 40 lbs). Frequent climbing to step into lift truck. Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, use feet to operate foot pedals, work at heights up to 30 ft., and do simple and firm grasping with both hands. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to vibration from lift trucks, inside/outside termperature changes, weld flash, dust, solvents, and battery acid. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.
