Primary purpose:Directly responsible for the safe, reliable and costeffective operation of natural gas pipeline system operations, compressors andall related equipment and supervision of multiple operations personnel.
Essential duties andresponsibilities:
Ensurethat work is completed in accordance with internal standards following approvedpolicies, procedures, safety rules, budgets and in a manner that promotescustomer satisfaction.
Plan,schedule, assign and direct work of Operations personnel.
Manageall PHMSA and regulatory requirements, and be prepared to assist during anyinspections or audits for the area of responsibility.
Monitorand implement company procedures, standards and best practices.
Directlyresponsible for the safety program, environmental compliance, governmentalcompliance, employee training and development, facility security and allpersonnel functions.
Ensurethat all requirements on the Operator Qualification (OQ) Program are met forboth contract and company employees.
Provideleadership and manage the planning and direction of activities at multiplelocations within the area.
Supervisecontract personnel engaged in construction, testing and operations offacilities.
Manage,plan and forecast the Capital and O&M Budgets for the area ofresponsibility.
Participatein the development of O&M procedures, site specific procedures, projectscopes and work plans.
Identify,report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
Coordinatesafety training and inspections, including completing documentation andconducting safety incident investigations when needed.
Responsiblefor the operation and maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, pumps,vessels, pipelines, compressors, auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines,motors, cooling equipment, valves, seals, and other related equipment.
Directlymanage construction and/or maintenance activities performed by internalpersonnel or third parties.
Responsiblefor cash flow management, cost monitoring and control.
Assistwith AFE project preparation, scheduling, monitoring projects costs, andproject completion.
Conductperformance evaluations of direct reports.
Workwith the Operations Manager to develop short- and long-range plans, goals andobjectives for compressor and pipeline operations.
Providesupport to project management and business development, as needed.
Organizework for timely completion.
Completeall applicable documentation and record keeping.
Performall work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, andCompany tariff requirements.
Respondto emergency situations at any hour of the day or night. This includes and maynot be limited to being in possession of required equipment and tools,designated forms, policies, regulations and manuals.
Foster apositive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution ofall assigned tasks.
Managepersonnel related matters, including providing performance based feedback, providingsupport and completing administrative paperwork as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum requirements:
Education:
Associatesdegree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Business or a relateddiscipline.
Aminimum of five (5) years direct work experience in crude oil/gas pipelinesystem operations, including prior supervisory responsibility may be consideredas a substitute for a degree.
Experience/SpecificKnowledge:
Aminimum of two (2) years working experience with mechanical and pipelinesystems.
A minimumof five (5) years with direct people management.
Knowledgeand experience in operation of pipeline, measurement, pump stations,compression and all related equipment.
Knowledgeand experience in safe handling practices of crude oil, flammable gases,liquids and high and low pressure systems.
Intermediateproficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are notlimited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certifications,Licenses & Registrations:
Mustpossess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactoryto the company and its insurers (for travel).
