Drafter


Position Summary:

Provide engineering computer aided design (CAD) expertise support to the U.S. Army’s Program Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS) and Product Manager Electro Optics/Infrared Force Protection (PdM EO/IR-FP).


Design and modify CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Solid Edge


Create and Validate 3D Models and 2D Drawings to include geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)


Create technical data packages (TDPs) at Production Level as defined by MIL-STD-31000.


Utilize Integrated Product Data Model (iPDM) application for product data management.


Produce electrical and mechanical drawings.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


Creates engineering drawings of military and commercial parts, assemblies, and installations to include Technical Data Packages and Vendor Item Control Drawings.


Defines logistical data on drawings such as part numbers and CAGE codes, as well military and industry specifications.


Confers with design personnel and client to resolve drawing standard and design discrepancies.


Know and apply ASME Y14 and MIL-DTL-31000 drafting standards.


Meet Drawing and Deliverable Release Dates.


Provide accurate drawings, preliminary layouts, production details, work instructions and assembly drawings.


Train and collaborate with fellow team members to ensure comprehensive and up to date situational awareness across team platform.


Create new and modify existing 3D models and 2D drawings of basic to complex design.


QUALIFICATIONS:


Associates Degree in related discipline plus 2 years related experience.


High School Diploma and 4 years related experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.


Experience using Solid Edge or SolidWorks software.


Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point.


Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.


Must be a U.S Citizen
